{Asheville in the Summer….}

We had a great time in Asheville. The weather was gorgeous! We went hiking {ALOT}, went to the Arboretum, went tubing down the river, went to Cherokee, Duponte Forest, did the Blue Ridge Parkway, as well and saw various waterfalls and stopped off at cool spots to swim in the river. We went downtown at night.

{Fun in the Sun}

OBX 2011

We just got back from a week long trip to the OBX. We stayed on Hatteras Island in the small town of Waves. The weather was perfect, in the upper 80’s and sunny all week. We collected tons of shells,  walked along the beach, played in the sand for hours, went to Jockeys Ridge State Park, The NC Aquarium, but mostly spent the time relaxing by the ocean. We built many sandcastles, buried many feet, drew many pictures in the sand, and made many mermaids on the beach. We swam in the sound and hunted for craps and watched the sunset and after it got dark we chased the ghost crabs around the beach. FUN!  (yikes–they pinch ..hard)
